Each Machine, A Guideoist to Better Nutrition

Consumers are always grateful when a YoNaturals healthy vending machine turns up in their local school or place of work, bringing its healthier snack food choices.

But our state-of-the-art YoZone, YoThirsty and YoHungry machines and their wholesome snack and beverage alternatives still remain a too rare thing in many areas, despite YoNaturals’ lightning growth into over one-hundred twenty urban markets during just the past few years.

And it’s truly unfortunate that YoNaturals’ market expansion hasn’t been even speedier. A record two-thirds of American adults are now overweight or obese, and the numbers for this and for the obesity-related diseases which have accompanied rising obesity continue to climb at alarming rates from coast to coast. Diabetes alone now claims twenty-four million American victims, and a further fifty-seven million of us are pre-diabetic, promising no immediate end to the steady rise in just this one killer’s societal impact.

Despite all the educational and media attention given to the absolute need to eat sensibly and to exercise regularly — the overall American health picture has seemed only worse with each succeeding year.

Anecdotal evidence strongly points to a lack of convenient snack choices as a major factor behind the consumption of much of the unhealthy junk foods that flood the marketplace. So anything that broadens distribution of wholesome, natural food products is bound to have a beneficial effect. Especially since the most promising news to come out of the mix is that a growing number of us genuinely do understand the unhelpful nature of the fats, salt and sugars which have, for years, been almost thoughtlessly added to processed foods and beverages by package food producers focused solely on maximizing their own short-term profits.

But the future doesn’t have to be bleak — and isn’t, wherever YoNaturals’ five-hundred healthier snack choices are to be found.
